NZCYT and Joyful Chinese Culture Academy teamed up and kicked off in the first week of the school holidays!
Chinese culture is rich and diverse, with a plethora of folk arts. Despite the advancements of technology and the changing times, there are always elements that have been passed down through generations. We are grateful to the Chinese Culture Seed Teacher Training Program for creating opportunities to train and pass on these traditions! One such program is the Paper-cutting Teacher Training Series, consisting of three sessions for junior and senior high school students, each lasting three hours. We are immensely grateful to Teacher Jiang Hui for sharing her over twenty years of expertise in paper-cutting with us. Participants of all ages have been dedicated in their learning, practicing earnestly, and the results have been fantastic!
Over the past two days, our campers have delved into puppetry, enjoying every moment both on and off the stage. They’ve also had a taste of being mini-librarians, engaging in role-playing and storytelling in Chinese. Our traditional activities of eco-friendly beach cleaning and sandcastle competitions were a hit as always – thank you, nature! Despite the forecast, the weather held up beautifully during the children’s outdoor activities, only raining after the final judging.
From plant recognition to mooncake making, paper-cutting to rhythm exercises, lion dance practice to puppetry performances… the campers of the Joyful Chinese Culture Camp have been delightfully busy these past two days!
The 2023 Spring session of the NZCYT Joyful Chinese Culture Camp has concluded perfectly!
All the campers, team leaders, mentors, and volunteer parents have spent five days that were both exhausting and joyful. They’ve gained laughter, happiness, new knowledge, skills, and most importantly, forged lasting friendships that transcend age.
NZCYT喜樂華語育樂營在學校假期第一週開營啦！
中华文化博大精深，民间艺术丰富多彩。不管时代如何发展，科技如何进步，总有一些东西是可以源遠流長传承下去的。感謝中華文化種子師資培訓班創造機會培訓傳承師資！其中的剪紙師資培訓班一個系列初中高三次課程，每次三小時。週日下午有幸參與。非常感謝蔣慧老師把她二十多年專研的剪紙的經驗心得傳授給我們。參加者不論年紀，都專心學習，認真練習，成果也是棒棒的！
這兩天這屆的營員們已經學習了佈偶戲，台前幕後都那麼歡樂；也學做做小小圖書館員，學習角色扮演講中文故事。環保淨灘和沙雕比賽是我們的傳統項目了，感謝主！預告有風有雨，但孩子們外出的時間整個過程艷陽高照，到了最後評比完，大雨才下來。
認植物，做月餅，學剪紙，拍節奏，練舞獅，排佈偶戲… 這兩天喜樂育樂營的孩子們真是忙得不亦樂乎！
2023春季NZCYT喜樂華語育樂營完美結營了！
所有參與的營員們、小隊長們、導師們，還有義工家長們，度過了累且快樂的五天。收穫了歡笑快樂，收穫了新知識技能，更收穫了許多新朋友，忘年的友誼
