The three-day, two-night New Zealand Chinese Youth Foundation skiing camp has safely concluded! Perhaps the biggest regret over these past few days was the less-than-perfect weather. However, we are grateful! Despite the challenging conditions, we managed to complete all our activities. What was initially forecasted as heavy rain stopped just as we began playing luge; and though there was no snow on the mountain, we were greeted with a stunning scene of snowfall as we made our way up. The skiing arrangements also faced many “trials” and setbacks, but in the end, everything was resolved smoothly and safely!
Both the young and older participants expressed that they gained something from this event, enjoying many moments of fun and experiencing new things. The children have also gained some new insights, learning to cultivate positive traits. In this way, the purpose of organizing the event has been achieved.
A heartfelt thanks to all the accompanying parents and volunteers who assisted wholeheartedly. Everyone showed patience, kindness, and mutual assistance. Despite perhaps not knowing each other before, after a few days together, everyone has become good friends. We are eagerly looking forward to the next opportunity to journey together again!
