2014 Water Safety Course

In the five years between 2008-2012, an average of 110 people has died from drowning in New Zealand waters each year. Therefore, New Zealand Chinese Youth Trust would like to raise the water safety awareness with the purpose to reduce drowning and injury in New Zealand.

 

The water safety course is divided into two parts, contains both theory and practical, with details as follow:

 

Newmarket:

Theory lesson:  on Tuesday, 13 May 2014 and Tuesday, 03 June 2014 at 07:00pm-08:30pm in Epsom St John Hall (normal training venue).

 

Pactical lesson: on Wednesday, 28 May 2014 at 07:00pm-09:30pm in the swimming pool of Millennium Institute of Sport & Health. The address is 17 Antares Place, Mairangi Bay, North Shore City, Auckland, and Tel: (09) 477 2000(09) 477 2000.

Note: The Tuesday lesson on 27 May 2014 is on. Member still require to attend their normal Tuesday class at Epsom St John Hall.

 

Milford:

Theory lesson:  on Wednesday, 14 May 2014 and Wednesday, 04 June 2014 at 07:00pm in Milford St John Ambulance Station (normal training venue).

 

Practical lesson: on Wednesday, 28 May 2014 at 07:00pm-09:30pm in the swimming pool of Millennium Institute of Sport & Health. The address is 17 Antares Place, Mairangi Bay, North Shore City, Auckland, and Tel: (09) 477 2000(09) 477 2000.

 

The course will be conducted by Brynn Armstrong, Drowning Prevention Co-ordinator of Water Safety Auckland.
